I think it would be useful to have place to dicuss/recommend hentai/waifu games, which can't be put here due to genre restrictions but can be interesting for vndb crowd.
Personally I would like to share Ariadne - link - h-rpg somewhat similiar to Thief & Sword (clothing damage, rapes etc)
It is pure h-rpg though with map exploring, quests, level grinding, npcs etc. - and it even has fan english translation. Link to translated game can be found on sukebei ;)

the "flurry" of translated VN releases somewhat died out, so this topic is pretty much what I'd need.

so how's the game?

I see no reason why we shouldn't have a thread like this. We already had threads about Akabur's games, Illusion titles and the even popular DMM/Nutaku titles, so I see no reason why we shouldn't have a general thread. At the very least it would provide an outlet for people.

So, let me go for broke and throw in two classics:

Slave Maker: Take your cookie-cutter raising sim, add a sexual slavery theme, user-generated content, gigabytes of images and a lot of custom content and endings depending on the slave in question, and this game can actually hold your attention for quite a while... until you realize that it is pretty repetitive and completely lacks original artwork, but hey, it was nice while the novelty lasted, amirite? :P

Corruption of Champions: A living, still developing legend. It is a mainly text-based RPG with a ridiculous amount of content, awesome and hilarious transformations (your character can end up anywhere from a futa nine-tailed fox naga with four dicks and three rows of breasts to a completely genderless bald freak of nature), an astounding variety of sexual content (from "vanilla" rape to furry orgies, anal impregnation by giant bees, inflation by slime-girls, gangbang by goblins and about everything else under the sun save for hard-core scat or guro). And you know what makes this thing so much more than simple, well-written fetish fuel? The writing. There are actual interesting and likable characters, important choices to make and generally more role-playing opportunities and depth than 90% of modern AAA RPGs.
On a separate note: This one has a lot of furry content, but since it is mostly text-driven, you can kinda compartmentalize and pretend that everyone is just kemomimi (or in the case of heroines/lovers, they have actual transformations to make them less furry built into their stories, so there's that.)

Honorable mention goes to Trials in Tainted Space, which you can access from the same page and which can be best described as "Corruption of Champions... IN SPACE!"
Personally I don't like it as much because it kinda goes all over the place because of the artistic license aliens provide. For example, I know what a naga is. I know what a catgirl is. I can picture these two at any moment. But what about a naleen (which is practically just a catgirl with a snake lower body)? Or a rakshwel (anthropomorphic space lizard-bunnies)? And why should I find these in any way titillating?
It is still fun, but it just doesn't (yet) have the depth and content that makes CoC so great.

Now, what I am actually curious about is whether you guys know any good dating/raising sims out there, with or without a lot of kinky content. Maybe I am just not looking hard enough, but I never had any luck finding good translated ones...

so how's the game?

Actually I haven't played it long enough to judge yet - it was recommended to me by other people - but it seems as decent oldschool rpgmaker jrpg so far.
Nevertheless I just found out about Mizuki guy who translated it link - he translated many those games already - and they are very different in genre and dedicated to rather ..niche fetishes.
Link to translation files: link
Description and pics of these games can be found on dlsite.com or ulmf forums by RJ index from title.

They can be downloaded from sukebei, hentai-share.com or some other sites too.

P.S.: maybe when I am not that lazy - I'll make complete list of his games with descriptions. They are rpg rape, ntr, incest shotacon femdom or lolicon exhibitionism games as far as i can tell.Last modified on 2015-10-27 at 14:03

Okay, on a whim (I'm a whimmmmmmmsical person after all. :P) I decided to take a look at some of those games linked by Usagi, and predictably I first tried out the loli exhibitionism title, because duh. (Though to be fair, in this case it was more about the exhibitionism aspect than the loli one that fueled the decision.) It... was really not what I expected, but in a good way. Oh, btw, here's the DLSite link, so that we are on the same page: link

So, it is actually apparently the fifth or sixth game in a long series taking place in the same area and sharing some characters. Still, there is enough of a setup so you can jump right in if you want.
The game features three character: Hakase, Ichigo and Choco, three perverted 13 year olds (at least I presume they are 13, as that is their level and it would be too specific for a coincidence). Hakase is the only boy in the group, Ichigo is his straight-laced but secretly perverted girlfriend and Choco is their slightly chubby "friend with benefits". Ichigo and Choco apparently both had their own games in the past dedicated to them.

The plot is pretty paper-thing but fun: They play a punishment-game where the loser has to do what the winner tells them, and Choco (arguably the most pervy of the brigade) decides to use the opportunity to fully awaken Ichigo's exhibitions tendencies and have lots of fun in the process.

The gameplay is also simple as a stick: You have a small area with specific spots where Ichigo can do exposure play. It is a hide-and-seek type of thing, where you have to find a spot, watch the scene, then find the next spot it unlocks, rinse and repeat. Sometimes you have to do some other things first (like getting rid of a person so that you can get to a spot), but generally it's just 'Find spot -> Watch scene -> Find next spot'. There are a lot of fun side-stuff in the game you can find by wandering around and interacting with everything, but ultimately your goal is just to go from one scene to the next.

For H-content, the game focuses almost entirely on exhibitionism and starts out relatively tame, with some minor public exposure, and slowly ramps it up as the game progresses until public anal during a gaming-contest and lesbian threesomes. The only problem I can see is that there is a wee bit too much public pissing using the same imagery, but that's only a minor complain.

The art is decent, though Ichigo's face always bothered me a little. Otherwise it is nice pixel-art with lots of animations (a real surprise) and good descriptions to fill the blanks.

The BGM and sound effects are okay, thought a bit repetitive.

Overall it was a nice little game. I finished it a little over two hours, and I had a surprising amount of fun with the character-interactions and the comedy. At the end of the day I would recommend it if you are looking for a quick, funny and fluffy HRPG.

P.S.: One of the prequel games titled Pettanko Park was apparently also translated. I tried it out, and while it is a little rough around the edges, it is also a lot of fun, though it only features a single nympho girl engaging in some over-the-top escapades.

^ You are welcome, I guess. :P

Seriously though, while CoC is infamous for its weird and over-the-top transformations, it is actually pretty easy to play and complete the game without really running into them. One just has to remember not to randomly consume items dropped by enemies (though again, some transformations can be pretty useful and/or badass, like becoming a nine-tailed-fox or a half-dragon).

Personally I prefer to play CoC as a non-corrupt (though corruption does open up a lot of fun interactions, it also seals off just as many side-characters and lovers) female PC, I get her to immediately have an anemone child (can be done consensually, and if you do it twice you also get a totally adorable sidekick out of the deal) which actually gives her a special dick, giving access to most of the content, and then just keep going at it, collecting followers, lovers and magical artifacts for fun, profit and titillation.

Honestly though, CoC's biggest draw on the long term is the characters and the sheer amount of content. I mean, sure, you can just jump in and go for the weird kinky stuff with full throttle, but there is actually a lot of other content as well, including a pretty good RPG system, lots of customization through traits and transformations, branching plots and large side-quest chains involving some surprisingly well-developed characters. All you have to do is to overcome the first knee-jerk reaction and look beyond its surface.

Nevertheless I find his translation quite decent. I didn't notice any signs of machine-translated lines in games I tried so far - all lines are perfectly clear to understand and easy to read. And text is sophisticated enough to convey writing style as well - it is not raw translation - it appears some editing was done too. All in all it's on level of most other fantranslations as far as i can tell except occasional untranslated lines.

I forgot to warn though that installation of translation is quite tricky (I suppose not everybody are such clever persons and/or aspergers as I or Gabezhul to gain understanding of such techicalities on his own). There isn't any readme about it, just data folder - but it wouldn't work if you put it in game folder. It requires special program to extract files from rpgmaker type archives (ofcourse you can find it judging by archive file type in google rather fast) - and only then you can overwrite extracted folder with translation files, delete archive file and play the game. Also some other games requires other type of extraction tools, or even rpgmaker libraries installation to even work (for example Magica). Also I couldn't make to work "Boy and perverted Oneesans" so far - it seems translation files are corrupted. It's a pity since that game is the most interesting for me, and even have voices.Last modified on 2015-10-28 at 13:40

@Usagi: Oh, right, I actually wanted to mention the installation/translation issues, but you are wrong that there are no instructions; it's in a .txt file in the main folder.

Just to paraphrase for others:
-Go here: link
-Follow the instructions (get All Decrypt -> use it on the game's main package file -> put all the unpacked files/folders into the game's folder -> overwrite them with the translation patch -> delete the main package file)
-Install RTPs (just google the term "RPG Maker RTP"), Japanese locale is a must (duh)
-Play the games

I think you should wear first ranger outfit for now.

Yeah, it was more about Sex in Public Places rather than Exhibitionism. I would recommend games from Sol-fa-soft if you like pure loli exhibitionism ) Also I have yet to find any title about male exhibitionism (straight) - be it manga, hentai or vn. Actually it's strange considering how much perverted japanese porn creators are and the fact that there ARE some javs about such fetish albeit only few.Last modified on 2015-10-28 at 13:58

There seems to be a translation patch floating around for Princess Sacrifice ~Kugi Hime Feena no Bouken~ but I'm not sure what version it is for.

^ It's just an UI translation. The guy who claimed to be "translating" the game was only laying down the groundwork for extracting and re-inserting the lines, but he doesn't know Japanese so he will leave it up to someone else to do the heavy lifting (if he ever gets around to share his work on the first place, of course)

What is this? Some sort of conspiracy to prevent me from finishing the Re-translation patch for KonoSora? I have more than enough distractions already, I REALLY didn't need to hear that someone was interested in working on my favorite H-RPG, and he only needed a translator... Damn, I seriously need more time. -.-'

As for the topic, here's some noteworthy stuff that I bumped into while browsing interesting Japanese non-VN eroge (mostly):
Hanakanmuri Circle - the first vore/ryona/guro title that I have ever played (the beta/demo/prequel thingy to be exact). Very good paltformer with nice visuals and somewhat complex (but manageable) mechanics. Not THAT good ero-wise (now that I have tried other fun stuff), but everything else makes up for it.
Punisher - another guro platformer, with both sprite animations and CGs. Simpler gameplay, not too hard, and has zero story, so it's English-speaker-friendly.
Askura P - not an eroge, but talking about platform games without mentioning this gem would be a crime. It's absolutely awesome. It hates the player and wants to kill him. Many, many, MANY times. A must-play for anyone who likes serious challenges.
Life is Paradise - I don't know how to classify this thingy. Town-building sim with RPG and dating elements... of sorts? It's slow-paced, but quite fun. There are tons of options, a few romanceable NPC for each gender combos (well, there's yuri for sure, but I never played as a male MC, so I don't know about yaoi). Ero is nothing special though.
MaiDenSnow Eve - roguelike with nice mechanics. It has some ero, but it's just an addition (though it's a part of gameplay, not just game-over stuff, which is always nice).
Loli Quest 2 - huge, open-world RPG. Protagonist isn't as loli as the title suggests, but she's hot anyway. There's a ton of content, I didn't explore even half of it yet (though some events rely on re-used art a bit too much). Mechanics are rather standard, but they work.
Magical Change Alice - RPG with a MC that can be customized at any time (you can chose form a few hairstyles, eye colors, pick huge boobs or DFC, etc. Everything affects both sprites and CGs). There's a nice variety of costumes too, and ero is a part of the gameplay. Story is rather generic, but it can be funny at times, so bonus points for that.

Okay, that's enough for today, but I have more titles in my collection, so I'll probably expand this list someday. ^^Last modified on 2015-10-28 at 16:41

Incidentally just a few days ago I played and reviewed Minako, which is one of the games translated by m1zuki.
It was a very pleasent surprise, though I am a fan of NTR. Other people might not find it to their tastes.

Also, a year ago I played Sacred Eyes, but I played version v 1.03, because that's the only one that had a translation at that time. Just months later version v 2.0 got a translation and I probably should try replaying the game, as that release changed a lot of things.Last modified on 2015-10-28 at 16:53

Thanks for the compliment. ^^
But yeah, sorry - I got kinda carried away with listing stuff that I liked. I did mention that Punisher is ENG-friendly. And Asakura P actually has an English patch (link ). Guess who translated it. :P
Well, the developer of MaiDenSnow Eve includes the "English" machine translation, which is utterly horrendous, but might be good enough for a plotless, fully gameplay-oriented roguelike.
And Hanakanmuri is playable without JP knowledge (I finished it before I started learning Japanese). Other titles might be problematic indeed.

Surprisingly pretty neat game. Basically an obstacle game with some gore/H on certain deaths. What's an obstacle game? think of Mario and you're pretty much set.

I can't find Reena's signboard (a lot harder to find than the coins) in stage 13. I looked EVERYWHERE.Last modified on 2015-10-29 at 12:44

I think a few western made ero non-VNs should be mentioned:
Elysium: Rise of the Dark King - sadly hasn't been updated for a few years and can be considered dead. I liked the story when I played it, though the ero scenes were not very good, mostly dues to the software used to make them.

Emmerzail - beeing updated very slowly. Liked the story. The ero was hand-drawn and unfinished in many cases. Had three playable characters.

The Last Sovereign - a great game. It is being constantly updated, and the demo I played half a year ago already had about 10 hours of content. Ero scenes are text only. Is distinguished by having a middle-aged protagonist.

Sexual Kingdom - frankly, I havent played this one, but the creator of The Last Sovereign endorses the project. The game is already nominally finished, but the author still updates it with new content once in a while.

Vitamin Plus - the game uses Butakoma 300g's art with his permission. Not an RPG, but an adventure game. Caters to very specific fetishes, namely lolicon and bestiality. I have a review of it.

Legend of Queen Opala - there are already three games finished in the series with more to come. I have only tried the first one and was impressed. The games have a very low H-content with most (if not all) scenes being semi-secret and skippable.

Malise and the Machine - a commercial project, currently in production, which looks fantastic going by screenshots alone. Haven't tried it yet.Last modified on 2015-10-29 at 18:11

I... I dunno how to describe this game. It is sadistic to the bones, but all for the right reasons. The sadism has taste to the point that even though the creator "loves you", you'll realize he's still playing in the level field with the player. In turn, you as the player should still place faith in him. This is especially seen in puzzle areas. The bond between you and the creator will show itself really soon, which is just absolutely remarkable. In a way this title is a lot better than Kaizo Mario roms.

Sadly, this "bond" is lost in most modern games. After reaching about level 60 you'll instantly hate mindless grinding, mostly FF series.Last modified on 2015-11-04 at 09:24

A question about Ariadne link.

Does Karma have any effect on story/dialogues whatsoever, or is it just to unlock a few h-scenes? Just wondering whether it's worth it getting everything there is in one playthrough, or make two playthroughs, one with low and one with high karma.

And I think their previous title (Magica) has similar mechanic, so might be informative for that as well.Last modified on 2015-11-06 at 12:09

The black-robed man stands on the precipice of a cliff overlooking the abandoned grounds below. He sneers, his sharp canines shining in the dark like... erm... canine-shaped flashy things.
Anyways, lightning booms and thunder flashes in the background as he raises his gnarled birch staff over his head in a wild swing... and it slips right out of his hands and sails through the air into the darkness below.
He looks around awkwardly for a moment before he clears his throat and puts on his best "Just As Planned" grin and raises his hands high into the air, fingers curled like the wicked talons of a raptor.
...
And then he waits three minutes for the next lightning to strike, but then... He laughs! Then speaks! His arcane words of unholy binding echo trough the night with a majestic boom as a sickly fog gathers around his feet. His chants grow louder by the second, his form drenched in unholy green light. At last his arms flex, his back straightens and another bolt of light streaks through the night.
The bolt of eldritch power hits the ground below and disappears without a sound. There is a moment of tension. The silence is deafening.
Then there is something. A moan. Then another altogether different noise, the sound of shifting earth and gravel as a decaying hand reaches out from a shallow grave. It is followed by a decaying torso, then legs. Finally the hideous creature turns around, reaches back into the depths of its disturbed resting place, and pulls out a round object caught between its rotting fingertips. It clumsily places it onto its neck and it raises its newfound head towards its caller. As it does so the full moon momentarily breaks through the cloud cover and shines upon its featureless visage. It only displays a singe line, as if carved into its surface: t7068.
...
And then I walk up to the robed figure and say; "Dude, the fuck? That thing is barely even rotting!"
The man looks at me with his beady eyes barely visible under his heavy cowl, yet his reaction is easy to read: "What in the name of the almighty spaghetti monster in the sky is your problem, man?"
I roll my eyes and point at the thing dumbly standing in its old grave and say; "You said you would show me how to resurrect a thread properly. That one is barely even three months old! A random nobody with zero situational awareness could do that!"
The dark wizard gives me a flat look, flips the bird and then angrily storms off, not ever bothering to get his discarded staff. I shake my head and spit at the ground where he stood.

Moral of the story: Don't outsource thread-necromancy. It's a scam, I tell you.

***

Now, with that intermezzo done (I swear that was originally supposed to be a two-lines long funny take on my old thread-necromancy running joke, I just got distracted and accidentally wrote that -.-') ... Let me talk about two titles I came across recently, and as usual, by complete accident while looking for something specific and completely different.

First off, Breeding Season. It is a breeding sim with a bunch of fun twists. It is still in alpha, but completely playable and the updates mostly add new animations. Yes, there are animations in this game. A lot of them. And high quality ones to boot. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

The game takes place in your average fantasy world, with a twist: The Goddess of Order created a theocratic empire that kept people in sexual repression. There was also a Goddess of Chaos who looked at this and said "Fuck that!" and spawned a bunch of monsters born from people's repressed emotions and urges. The best way to deal with these monsters was to engage in lots of hot, sweaty sex with them, as this lowered people's repressions and made the monsters docile. So people did that and formed a Breeder's Guild.

Our protagonist (male or female) inherits a breeding ranch after their parents' untimely (and allegedly orifice-exploration related) demise, but it also comes with a huge-ass fine from the empire, which is represented as a even huge-asser dept. Your goal is to breed and train monsters (who are actually quite comfortable with this) and sell them so you can cover the expenses of the farm and pay the installments of the dept so that you wouldn't be executed for... because of bureaucracy. In that regard the game is reminiscent of Recettear. The dept part, I mean, not the monster-sex or the getting killed because of bureaucracy part.

Now the actual meat of the game: You are raising monsters by pairing them up to have sex with each other (and your own character, of course). They gain stats and a chance for an offspring (which is magic-babbled away by saying that they don't actually get pregnant but having sex just opens a portal from the place monsters come from to summon a new one). To fulfill requests you usually need a mon with specific traits and stats, which you can get from the afore-mentioned training. You fulfill these requests, get money which you invest into buying new mons, upgrades to your facilities and pay the dept.

As for the mons themselves, they look great. They all have random-generated, animated tachies. Not only that, but there are a variety of traits that can totally change how a mon looks like. First off, normally mons come in one gender. Catgirls are always female, wolves are always male. Unless they have the Genderbent trait, which gives them a rare opposite sex version. They can also be futas which of course means having a dick. Furthermore they can be Feral, which means they are more monstrous (which in most cases means they look more like furries) or Neophyte, in which case they are smaller (usually turning them into lolis/shotas). Feral and Neophyte mons also come with Genderbent versions, so while there are only 10 races, you can actually have 52(!) different creatures, each with their own animated tachies and different combinations having different animated H-scenes (though there are only about two dozen of them in the game yet, but they are constantly adding more). Not only that, they all have a bunch of faces, hairs and color-schemes the game randomly mix-and-matches upon their creation, which means you are unlikely to see the exact same mon twice in the same game.

Overall I would say it is a great game. The art is outstanding, it has great (if low-brow comedy), fun characters, solid gameplay mechanics and it is just lots and lots of fun. Highly recommended. You might also want to throw a few buck at the guys' patreon too, if you are at it. They deserve it.

The other title... In my next post.
