|Tried this long ago, but it doesn't work, unfortunately. Changing system locale to Japanese doesn't work either. I'm using windows 10 x64.|

|tested it out. try "run with application profile" and then check marking "fake system UI language" under advanced options. worked for me and i'm using windows 10 on my newer laptop. Not using that just had it giving me garbled text.Last modified on 2017-09-20 at 11:45|

arigatou gozaimasu #1 onimori, and #3 matt915 for posting what worked for you, those settings work for me on Win 7 64bit, and now no more garb;δS╣@■δS╘@!Vδ§?Z7ù╧╧

|People after a long search on the internet I finally found a Solution to the Heiantei text problom Chnage display language to 日本語|
Open Regional and Language Options by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then clicking Regional and Language Options.
Click the Keyboards and Languages tab.
Under Display language, choose 日本語 from the list, and then click OK.
